We now have a full practice squad.
Roster Moves: Jaguars Sign OL Blake Hance, S Matthew Jackson and WR Louis Rees-Zammit (exempt list) to the Practice Squad
I had hoped for some Baalkie magic, but alas none.

This is a good roster (including the practice squad)
We all know the season will only go so far as..
1. Ryan Nielson's defense
2. Trevor Lawrence
..goes.
TWO more games a season is all the Jags need to figure out. 11 wins.
Black Jaguar: Yeah, it's a thing.
It was always the Jags!!!!

Jackson had good ST skills for Tennessee last year, and provides some needed S emergency depth with Wingard and Gipson out on reserves.
The versatile Hance is a good vet signing for the practice squad.

It's obtainable. Vegas has us at 7.5 or 8.5 on the year I believe. I would take the over on that bet. Our schedule is not as tough as it was last year. A lot of our injuries happened in bunches as well. It really hindered a lot of things, as it typically does for most teams.
I really think Lawrence will finally find himself this year, especially in this offense. It's year four for him. Year three now with the same staff. People forget he's still relatively young for the position.
I expect a top 5 MVP conversation type of year out of him. Especially if he cuts his yearly total in turnovers byhalf. Nielsen's defense will be better than whatever it was Caldwell was trying to do.
His track record is impressive going back to New Orleans andhis ability to get the most out of his defensive line is what got him the job in Atlanta and now the job down here. Should see huge dividends early up front.

Kind of lost in the shuffle with the roster announcement. Keilan Robinson made the roster. He'll start on IR/designated to return with the team.
He could be a guy worth watching, since it was made clear they added him back in April with the intent of having use for him on special teams with the new rules in place.
Read somewhere that he's capable of technically play four different roles for the special team's.

CBS is reporting that they waived EJ Perry from the practice squad (after signing him the day before). I wonder why?

Zone corner who didn't fit here once Caldwell left. I hope he does well there.

Likely they think he'll likely not develop more,be available if they need him, and if they need him he'll still actually play less than those other guys they kept that they can develop. He's Todd Bouman on the tractor for the new generation.

Yea, he was adept at letting the guy catch it short then blowing him up. Great for playing in a prevent defense.

He's a safety. Not sure he makes it as a corner in any scheme.

Interesting decision to sign him to thePS in aQB3 role. Described by Pittsburgh media as a developmental Swiss Army knife....think Taysom Hill versatility. He can play QB, WR, and be a core ST player (including return specialist roles).

I felt this for the past 6 wks. I knew it was coming but I didn't know who it would be. First it was Allen and now it's Campbell. Now I have to purchase another jersey (already acquired Hines-Allen). ???

I love the versatility that JRP brings to the squad.
Respect the game. Play with a sense of urgency.
1.) Take care of the ball. Win the turnover battle.
2.) It's all about 3rd down. Win on 3rd down to win the game.
3.) Playmakers make plays. The only reason that you put your uniform on is to make plays. In order to EARN your paycheck, you must make plays.
Learn from the great collapse of 2023.
